When spec’ing its new apparatus, Carlsbad Fire Department chose a 22′ aluminum SVI body mounted on a Spartan Gladiator chassis, the first 50th Anniversary Spartan chassis to have a SVI Heavy Rescue body. This apparatus houses a Cummins X12 525 HP engine and comes equipped with custom tool mounting, Paratech storage, Warn 12,000-lb. winch, Command Light Knight Series light tower and much more.
