Dallas Fire Department’s new Heavy Rescue truck is built with a strong aluminum body mounted on a Spartan Metrostar Chassis with a 10″ raised roof and houses a Cummins ISL9 380 horse power engine and an Allison EVS 3000 Transmission. The new Heavy Rescue truck features plenty of open compartment space along with a Cl Series Command Light Tower and a Zico 12-volt oxygen cylinder lift. This truck also comes equipped with two carefree roll-out awnings on both the street side and curb side of the apparatus. It also features vertical exhaust to divert fumes from building when the awnings are deployed.
