When spec’ing its new Hazmat Rescue, the Franklin, TN Fire Department chose a 23′ aluminum SVI-body mounted on a Metro Star chassis, which houses a powerful Cummins L9 450HP engine with Allison 3000 EVS transmission. This hazmat comes with a Weldon V-MUX Vista IV Multiplex System Interface and WeatherPak® TRx2-UHF Weather Station. A curbside awning with add-a-room awning attachment add to this unit’s functional space. This unit was delivered in tandem with a Technical Rescue.
